Information Regarding: Coronavirus(COVID-19)-related Closure
Dear Good Fight Community,
Information Regarding: Coronavirus(COVID-19)-related Closures
Governor Tony Evers directed the Department of Health Services to issue an order for all Wisconsin schools to close. The order will take effect by the end of the day March 18, with an anticipated reopening April 6, with that date subject to change. As we are committed to operate in full accord with our local health and state agencies, the community center will be closing Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 7pm. And we will remain closed through April 6, pending review at that time.
The decision to close was not an easy decision to make, but the safety and well-being of the staff, volunteers and students is the highest priority of the program. This will provide opportunities for social distancing, thorough disinfection of the facility, and further contingency planning in the case prolonged closures are required.
During the time of closure, we are encouraging staff, students and families to follow recommendations of the La Crosse County Health Department and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). While also strongly encouraging all to stay home and minimize social contact to the fullest extent possible.
